Love this quilt set. I bought it for my queen bed and when we upgraded to a king I bought it again!!I read so many reviews suggesting going up a size bigger. That's fine if you want the spread to touch the floor, just remember if you have a queen bed and order a king, your pillow shams will be super long. I have a bed skirt and wish I had stuck with a queen as my bed is queen size. It didn't dawn on me that my pillow shams would also be king size lol. They are way to big for my pillows and my bed is too small for king sized pillows. I'm just pinning them under which detracts from the overall look and function. I washed my spread and put it in the dryer and it still looks fine. I love the contrast of the black with the lighter colors in my room.I hate bulky comforters and am also a hot sleeper so I wanted to find either a quilt or very lightweight comforter for my bed and decided to give this a try. First off, it looks great on my bed because my frame has black accents and all the rest of my bedroom furniture is black. The stitching design is neat and helps it not look too plain. The material is a brushed microfiber, so it's soft to the touch but the comforter itself is still a lot stiffer than, say, a fleece blanket. This isn't necessarily a problem; it doesn't make it uncomfortable. In fact, since I like to have my bedding up around my head, the stiffness actually helps sort of form a cave over my face so I stay warm but can still breathe. It seems to hold heat in well enough; I've stayed very comfortable temperature-wise with just this quilt and a sheet, even in the middle of February. The shams also look great and add a little bit of decorative flair.While I haven't had time to test it in summer weather, my heater keeps my room in between the upper 60s to mid 70s F, and I've found that this blanket with just a sheet under it has kept me the perfect temperature.As I've been getting older in life, I have been learning that certain bedding materials are horrific for causing or exacerbating night sweats. After just two or three months, I have not been awakened to any the way I've experienced with blankets & throws made of polyester material. The breathability of the microfiber has made my going to bed a joy again.For the first time in my life, I have blanket that I can say I absolutely love, and definitely recommend it.Reversible but not the same on both sides. Still like it, though. Well worth the price.Bought it to compliment patterned drapes because it was solid grey that wouldnt clash but its stiff and not attractive..It’s a little lighter than I expected but it’s nice. The fit is really good, it covers long enough on both sides of the bed. The weave pattern is not to bold so it will fit in any decor you have already.
